Using Craft Stamps and Some Fun Rubber Stamping Techniques to Make a handmade Greeting Card
It's been a while since I made a greeting card with my craft stamps. I have been using my Cricut Expression engine to make my greeting cards lately and I wanted to go back and use some of my craft rubber stamps that I have, and boy do I have craft stamps. One day I will post some pictures of all the craft stamps that I have.
Anyway, for this birthday card I wanted to share with you first of all a legitimately cute craft stamp, some cool rubber stamping techniques and all this while I am production a birthday card for my father-in-law. When he was at my home in March, I took him to his first ever craft rubber stamps convention. He couldn't believe how many dissimilar rubber stamps they had as well as how many ladies were all in one custom center. It was great and where we found some extra craft rubber stamps, so I conception I would show him what I can create using some rubber stamping techniques that I have learned over the years.
I just love craft stamps that pertain to cats, and this single craft stamp reminds me of my cat Tapioca. He is so cute.
What you will need:
Cat rubber stamp (Stamps by Judith)
Sentiment - Happy Birthday ~ Perfectly Clear craft stamps (Stampendous)
StazOn Black Solvent Ink Pad
Watercolor pencils (Loew-Cornell)
Water Brush
Flower Pot paper punch (Emaginations)
Paper from Stampin' Up: legitimately Rust, Sage Shadow, Barely Banana, and Basic Black. I have no clue where I got the white card stock from.
Adhesive pop dots and tape runner
How to make it:
First I cut all the card stock listed above to get the layered look that I wanted for this card.
Then I stamped the cat craft stamps image with my Black StazOn ink pad. I then put embossing powder on the wet ink and heat set.
The reason why I used the solvent ink and embossed is that I am now going to use my watercolor pencils to color in the image and I did not want the black ink to run into the colors.
I used watercolor pencils along with my water brush, to color the cat and the stem and leaf. I then used another of my great rubber stamping techniques and that was to color the flower with an embossing mark and then put on the embossing powder. Using my heat gun I then made the flower have a shiny finish.
I punched out of brown paper the flower pot. I put the pop dots only at the rim of the flower pot, and then used my tape runner for the bottom of the flower pot. I wanted to give a three dimensional look like the cat was legitimately sitting in the flower pot.
I then used Tulip Color Point Stitch paint to make the dirt. I legitimately got inside the rim to get the ensue that the cat was in the pot. I again used my heat gun to set the paint and give it the uneven puffy look. (When I was cleaning my craft closet a few months back I came over all of these Tulip paints and all of my craft stamps and I wanted to start using them for fun projects like this one).
For the inside I used one of my Perfectly Clear craft stamps and stamped Happy Birthday. Nice and simple.
I roughly forgot, I done him off with a small black and white ribbon that I tied around his neck, for a fun look for my cat.
I hope he like the card, since I used the craft stamps that we bought together. I sure had a lot of fun production it. I think now that I had so much fun with this card that I will start using more from the range of my craft stamps for upcoming birthdays and holidays.

Ghost Towns: The Cats of Ulthar relate
Ghost Towns: The Cats of Ulthar is a incommunicable object adventure game about a girl, a boy named Menes, and lots and lots of cats. As a matter of fact, if you are tired of the same old incommunicable object stories about ghosts and monsters lurking in dark scenes, this game provides a cuter but still as sinister alternative - cats. Well, I have to say upfront that I am not a big fan of cats as they annoy the hell out of me, but in the name of professionalism, I will try to be less biased in this review.
You play as a long black haired girl in this game as you stumbled over a town named Ulthar. For some unknown reason, you soon gawk that the townspeople are preparing to kill a boy named Menes. The nature of his crime eludes you but you are asked by his sister, Atala to save her brother, so it is now your burden to carry. In any case, the whole curiosity built in this scenario grips the player to find out more with regard to this weird execution. And thus, starts the game with you seeing clues and evidence to save Menes and find out why the townspeople's grudge is so great against him.
I did a bit of investigate about Ghost Towns: The Cats of Ulthar and it seems that Ulthar is no ifs ands or buts a name of a fictional town in H. P. Lovecraft's Dream Cycle. Oh well, so much for originality, but I soon found out that there is good basis on why this game opt to copy the same name. That is because in Dream Cycle, the town of Ulthar has a most considerable law that "no man may kill a cat". Now, I have a clue on why Menes is sentenced to death, but this is just my hunch as the game can also lead to twists with all the clues you find.
In terms of game play, Ghost Towns: The Cats of Ulthar follows a typical incommunicable object style. I liked the scenes as they are not as messy as other games but this also means that the game is not that captivating too. Graphics are well done. I liked how most of the scenes are made cartoon like and how they fused this with 3D generated captivating elements. Music is pleasant but as I said earlier, I no ifs ands or buts dislike the cats meowing all throughout the game.
In conclusion, this is no ifs ands or buts a well made game that is worth your try. Plus points too if you like cats.

Creativity is one of the remarkable gifts God gave us in His infinite wisdom and bible story crafts are a great way to teach and encourage children to praise God while learning the stories of the bible. How to Write Lovecraftian Fiction
Perhaps no other singular writer has had a more necessary influence on the field of weird nightmare fiction than Howard Philips Lovecraft. Following in the wake of Lovecraft's mostly posthumous success, many writers of weird nightmare and fantasy have taken up the task of producing Lovecraftian fiction. In this article, we will discuss some normal guidelines about how to write Lovecraftian fiction.
Lovecraft largely wrote in a subgenre he himself labelled "cosmic horror". His central body of work suggests a cosmic history extending far beyond the knowledge of humanity. Next to these alien races, mankind appears historically insignificant and technologically primitive.
There are many respects in which a piece of fiction could be said to be "Lovecraftian". If you are wanting to lead to the definite mythology of the Lovecraftian universe (also sometimes referred to as "The Cthulhu Mythos") then you could naturally write a tale featuring the entities and cosmic backdrop Lovecraft himself did. Many writers, both pro and amateur, have shaped a large body of Mythos fiction. However, with so many imitators of Lovecraft's style and language, the kinds of fiction that become familiar need to have some distinctive feature. Stories which are absolutely Lovecraftian could be said to import something essentially Lovecraftian to a novel setting, contribution a new take or a new twist.
A true contribution to literature of a Lovecraftian "spirit" will need something beyond mere imitation of archaisms, settings or names.
